South West Farmer: The October 2012 edition of SW Farmer announces the new Llanwenog – Bridgwater Agricultural College joint venture. The college has recently acquired a Llanwenog Flock as a research project for students to compare the performance of a native pure breed against their standard commercial flock. They will be evaluating both financial and production performance which will provide valuable comparisons on lambing %, growth rates, feed inputs, carcass grading & weights.

 
The May 2012 edition of JAMIE - Jamie Oliver's magazine has a really good article on the benefits of Rare and Native breed meats.
 
Llanwenog Sheep are singled out as very tasty meat and very economic sheep to keep.

The Ark Magazine (issue Autumn 2010) has an article on two American photographers who were working on a project for the National Geographic Magazine on endangered breeds. They were taken on a three day tour of Wales and this included a visit to Huw Evans at Alltgoch. You can find the article on page 6 of the ARK. Alternatively there is a copy of the article below
