Llanwenog Sheep are a versatile Native breed

Llanwenog sheep a native minoirty breed

They are economic (cheap to feed and long living), productive (twins are the norm) and they produce exceptional quality tasty meat.

The number of Llanwenog sheep has declined in recent years. The Rare Breeds Survival Trust 2020 Watchlist  show the number of registered breeding ewes has fallen below 3000. The Llanwenog has remained Category 5 (Minority) since 2016 after  moving into Category 6 in 2008.
